Questions and Concerns about the Gym Joe Schriber opened the discussion seeking advice on how to respond to people asking about the prospect of remodeling the gym. All constructive ideas for gym improvements are welcome and can be explored. It must be understood by all up front that there are budget commitments that have to be met. We have an outstanding loan balance for our beautiful school addition of approximately 1.7 million, and borrowing more is not an option. We also have an urgent need to replace the carpet in the church. A gym remodel would include an asbestos abatement issue that would cost approximately $75,000 alone when last explored, so remodeling the gym would be no less than $100,000. If anyone has ideas about how to meet our financial obligations while planning a gym remodel, please be part of the solution.
