Homework   vs.   Studying

To do homework is to complete an assignment

that has been given by your teacher,

which is an extension of some concepts,

 skills, or facts you have been taught in class.

To study is to spend time reviewing notes taken in class,

 rereading selections from your textbooks,

or perhaps memorizing some facts from class instruction.

These activities, done repeatedly,

help move knowledge from your

 short term memory to your long term memory.
